Our Bedford branch recently took part in the national Dignity in Care day on 1st February. The office staff invited carer’s along for tea and cake in order to discuss how to become a ‘Dignity in Care Champion’. Over 20 carers attended the event and all were interested in how they could make a difference by getting involved.
A Dignity Champion is someone who believes that care services should be compassionate and person-centred. They should want to challenge poor care and act as a role model for other carer’s. This is something we strongly support and would love to see rolled out across all of our branches.
Regional Director, Chaya Thakrar commented, “I am so pleased that so many carers turned up to support the event and their keen interest to get involved. This is something we can develop further across the company and get all of our branches involved.”
